McCarran International China-Welcome™ Program Named As One of Best Airport Amenities For 2016
New York, New York. January 2, 2017. We are excited to note that the China-Welcome™ program, established at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport in December 2016 – has quickly garnered national attention.
USA Today included it as one of the eight most important airport amenities for the year 2016.
Working with the leaders at McCarran International, the comprehensive China-Welcome™ system was developed by Boyd Group International and China Ni Hao, LLC. One key part is having Mandarin-speaking staff ready to assist passengers throughout the entire arrival and departure processes at McCarran.
It also has targeted signage and wayfinding in Chinese in the terminal, including customs, baggage claim, outbound security (which includes electronic Chinese signage), as well as increased implementation of Chinese language brochures and menus in concession areas.
In addition, the system developed an informational Chinese-language McCarran International WeChat app for the airport – one that rivals those implemented at Shanghai Pudong and Beijing Capital airports. The goal of McCarran is to make these visitors know they are welcomed.
This is a tribute to the foresight and leadership of McCarran International, which understands the value of Chinese guests, and is the first US airport to implement a functional program for this travel segment.
